Keep one good traditional oriental rug but be daring and switch out your dining area and living area rugs to a  tweedy sisal or a large hair on hide piece. Room will seem instantly perky and happy. Be daring and do it!

Change out the old family landscape hanging over the mantel to a bold contemporary piece with lots of primary colors to intensify that focal area. 

And show your friends you have pizazz. ​Don't be afraid to use a sleek box type frame in silver or black.

Yes I still do wallpaper :-)  And love it in small rooms! Try Candice Olsen or Carl Robinson for unique patterns.

​​​I always say: "Save for pillows, don't be stingy". Here... good pillows worth every penny! I like big bold geometric pillows, mixed with a touch of fur or leather. And yes, leopard still works too. Spare no expense here, trust me!​ Don't forget to trim your pillows with crystal beads, tassels and maybe even feathers or extra punch and detail.
